I’m not doing ‘resolutions’ this year. I never stick to them anyway. Give up chocolate, yeah right! Start running, in this weather?!
I’m going to write a list instead. A list of things I’d like to achieve this year. Basically I’m not aiming too high or putting too much pressure on myself. I’m just writing a few things down that wouldn’t be too much of a task for me to do.
- Maintain a healthy weight. This basically means to keep going to the gym but if I miss it a few times then no biggie!
- Save more money. I’ve asked for a ‘pot of joy’ for my birthday next week. I try to save anyway but saving in a pretty pot that I won’t want to smash until I really need the cash is ideal.
- Keep my mind healthy. I struggle to talk about things so writing them should keep my mind more clear when I’m in-between therapy sessions.
- Make time to explore. Last year I travelled to places I’d never been and loved it! My anxiety was high but once I got through that there was no stopping me. Wether I go to a new walking area with my dog or to a different country, I’m going to see more of the world this year.
So that’s it. No ‘resolutions’ that I need to stick to, just goals for me to aim for.
Does anybody else do this or do you find resolutions are better?

Nice post! Looks like you are off to a great start with your blog. I would suggest adding some widgets to the side of your page so people can follow you on instagram or whatever social media you have! 🙂

I was looking at that earlier but I have no idea how to do it! Do you have a simple step by step for me? Haha! Thanks for the advice

If you go to your blog on the desktop, then at the bottom right corner there should be something that pops up saying customize. Then once that loads, on the left side of the screen a bar will pop up with a bunch of selections and widgets should be one!

Ahh I’m on my iPhone so maybe that’s why I can’t figure it out. Thanks for your help 😊

This seems like a really healthy way to run your life. My resolutions are basically just “try to go to the gym as often as your schedule allows” and “do more things that make you happy that aren’t necessarily ‘productive'”.

Thank you. Sounds like you’re not putting too much pressure on yourself either. It’s the best way. Happy new year!
